Last winter I interviewed American composer, Michael Torke, after trying out one of his CDs (Three) for the first time. I first heard his music (Run) at one of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s Happy Hour concerts and really enjoyed it. It helped ease me into my adventure into music written by living composers.
Well I just received two more of his CDs in the mail today: One and Six.
One contains Bright Blue Music, which I’ve heard a few times here on Classical 101, the local classical music station.
Six contains music I’m not sure I’ve heard before, but since I like his style of writing, I’m sure I’ll like this as well. OK – time to hit play…
