Columbus Symphony Orchestra

CSO – Southern Theatre 2014-2015 Season

Autumn is fast approaching which means the start of many classical music seasons. OK, fine. I’m mostly interested in what’s happening right here in Columbus and as luck and good fortune would have it, it’s going to be another fabulous season with my favorite symphony, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

I’ve recently picked up my first 4-pack of season tickets for the CSO which includes what look to be some amazing concerts. Check these out! My initial 4-pack is for the four concerts being held at the Southern Theatre. Accoustically, the Southern beats out the Ohio, but the Ohio is perfect for the larger ensembles or collaborative concerts with other musical ensembles such as the CSO Chorus, Ballet Met or Opera Columbus.

4-pack Southern

What I really like about this year’s season is that a lot of the CSO musicians are being featured in various concerts. For starters, we’ll our concertmaster, Jean-Sébastien Roy as well as flautists, Genevieve Briggs and principal Randall Hester. After that, we’ll see Principal bassoonist Betsy Sturdevant, Principal Violist Karl Pedersen and Principal Cellist Luis Biava.

There is so much talent in this orchestra!

Here are my first four concerts so far.
